Motorsport Live is delighted to announce the creation of a brand-new unique product called the Motorsport Valley Tour. A world first, and exclusive to Motorsport Live, it will offer a unique view into the highly competitive, ultra-secretive world of Formula 1 in the heart of England.
Eight of the ten formula 1 teams are located within an 80mile radius, also encompassing the Silverstone circuit, home of he British GP. This proximity, gives rise to a unique opportunity to easily tour more than one in the same day. The first of a series, this expertly created two-day event will give participants an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience with four leading Formula 1 teams including McLaren, Red Bull Racing, Williams and SportPesa Racing Point, as well as Bicester Heritage, the UK’s only hub for historic motoring excellence.
The tour starts at McLaren’s Technology Centre. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, it remains the standard for Formula 1 facilities and its doors, usually closed to the public, will be thrown open for those on the Valley Tour. Walk along the boulevard to take a close-up look on historic Formula 1 machinery driven by the likes of Bruce McLaren, Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton, participate in a unique pit stop challenge, and hear from members of the pit crew team about day-to-day life at the factory and the circuit. A direct transfer will then whisk you from Woking to Grove and to Williams, where you’ll enjoy lunch in its Conference Centre and have the opportunity to cast your eye over Sir Frank Williams’ personal collection of Formula 1 machinery.
Following a chance to freshen-up at The Whittlebury Hall hotel a unique dinner opportunity awaits at Red Bull Racing’s factory, on their mezzanine level overlooking the race bays where the Formula 1 cars are manufactured and maintained. Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft, and 1995 British GP winner Johnny Herbert will be your hosts for the night, with insights coming from Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley, James Robinson, Ayrton Senna’s former race engineer and Motorsport Network’s lead Formula 1 journalist Jon Noble. Dinner will give you an opportunity to talk directly with them and get insights on what it takes to be competitive in the world of Formula 1.
The second day will begin with a factory tour of the SportPesa Racing Formula 1 Team in Silverstone. That will be followed by a tour of ex-RAF base turned motoring and aviation museum Bicester Heritage, where you’ll lunch in the Club Room before receiving a passenger ride in the same model 1929 Bugatti GP car that was used to take victory at the inaugural Monaco Grand Prix 90 years ago.
Motorsport Live’s Motorsport Valley Tour is a ground-breaking opportunity for Formula 1 fans to go behind-the-scenes and into the heart of several iconic teams – you won’t want to miss out on such a package. For more information and to book click here.
