Great weekend but parking /traffic bad

We had a really enjoyable weekend. No problem with booking and getting tickets from bookmoto... We expected just to rock up and see parking signposted but we ended up parked along the fence on the edge of the campsite... Which we still don't know if that was where we should have been??... On the Sunday after the race it took us 2.5 hours to get 15 mins drive back to our accommodation. Anyway brilliant racing and great atmosphere.

Is Mans

If you go my advice would to be pay the extra for a camp site , as if you like no sleep for the weekend as the free camp site very busy and get there when the gates open to find a camping spot

Non stop Moto GP Weekend

The trackside free campsites (Houx, Bleu and Rouge) fill up very quickly on Thursday and have a serious 24 hour party atmosphere, if you like your sleep, do some homework and stay further out from the track if camping and cycle in (this is what I did after surviving 1 night in Houx). Motorcycles are revved mercilessly with loud 'bangs' from homemade exhausts using the kill switch technique - it's quite a spectacle especially at night but be warned, the noise from the engines and sound systems is relentless, there are campfires, fireworks and smoke everywhere too. Vehicle registrations are checked on entry - bring your documents. The track itself has many vantage points to see the racing action if you don't have a grandstand ticket, but areas in front of giant TV screens can fill up quickly. Good viewing around the 'Garage Vert' area with easy access through the tunnels under the track. Friday and Saturday night concerts at the track were great and well worth a look. Beer is 7 Euros for half a litre no wonder some were smuggling alcohol in but be warned, bags are checked on entry, bringing your own picnic and soft drinks is no problem. Overall a great weekend and well worth the visit. Be mindful of the 3 hour wait to leave during the mass exodus after the main race on Sunday.

Le Mans Moto GP

Ticket collection and track experience were no issue, track has many facilities lots of food and plenty of toilets, however if you want sleep don’t use the 3 free campsites, well recommend to find alternative accommodation

Great experience after a good 30 minutes going around in circles

Positive - nice track and great atmosphere. I loved it. Negative - I have arrived early Thursday around 10:30 am. It took me 45 minutes to find the campsite, because none of the workers speak English, not helpful at all. Signs where not by the entrance of the campsite. No one could show me where VR46 camping was. I was lucky to hear English people (had VR46 shirts) and I asked if they know where it is and lucky for me they where already in the campsite. I was so happy :) Later on the day I have manged to find Employee speaks English (a Lady behind the Information center stationed in the track) However, I will go again. Now that I have experience of the people and location it would not be a problem.

le mans moto gp

For such a world famous race circuit we were shocked at the poor lack of toilets. The queues for toilets were 50 people at least deep throughout the racing. Men peed against walls all around the boundary wall. We saw two families with children in wheel chairs struggling to find somewhere to watch the racing. Shame on you Le Mans.

Le Mans MotoGP 2019

A great weekend of racing. The facilities at the circuit are great and the free seated stands on the start/ finish line were a surprise. The only criticism we have is the signage is poor so plan ahead ( we travelled from the south to the circuit ,the signage may be better from the north)and the requirements for needing bike documentation to us was unknown. This was needed to exit the bike park, great idea but you need to know. Would recommend a trip. The French road drivers were very courteous and on our return people were on the roads to wave at the bikes passing.

Will never return to le mans

The racing itself was good, everything else was awful, there were not enough screens around the track (BSB has more) there were nowhere near enough toilets around the track and the variety of food/drink stalls was inadequate not to mention ridiculously over priced, the campsites were worse strewn with rubbish due to lack of bins, not enough toilets so everywhere stank of urine and morons revving their engines all night hence no sleep, we had equipment stolen and the campsites stank of weed. The road signs were completely inadequate with none at all for our campsite (centre expo). Was hoping for a nice long weekend away and got home more stressed than when I left, the band Celkilt were good however.

Second time at Le Mans and an enjoyable weekend, weather great, as long as you keep you calm when leaving your ok, free parking at the circuite like Silverstone and Valencia would be handy, but had great weekend

Le Mans 2018

Really enjoyed the weekend,we watched the race at”la chapele” and there was a big screen for us to keep up with the race. Getting to the track was not very well signposted at all and no special busses where running. We wanted to watch the main Moto gp race so arrived there 2 hours before the main race. We didn’t spot any one else going to the race at this time and spent an hour trying to figure out what bus to get. From “le Mans “ train station it is advised to get the tram T1 going to Antares and get of at Guadeloupe (not sure if they are both spelt right). From there it’s a short walk to the track, walk left at the round about and on your right will be the entrance to la chapelle entrance. Hope this review helps someone find out where to go.

LE MANS IS A GREAT VENUE

THE CITY HAS NEW AND OLD PARTS WITH LOTS OF GOOD BRASSERIES. IF YOU ARE STAYING IN THE CITY, USE THE TRAM SYSTEM TO GET TO THE CIRCUIT AND AVOID THE TRAFFIC JAMS YOU HAVE TO ENDURE GOING BY CAR OR BOKE.

Overall a very enjoyable weekend. Easy access in and out the circuit...except for race day obviously! Glad we got a bed and breakfast and not camped as I don’t think we would have slept! Can’t wait till next year.

Event great, ticket collection system awful.

I had a great weekend, but trying to find the entrance to the aerodrome to pick up the tickets when we got there in the pouring rain was an absolute nightmare. The road we eventually had to go down looked like something out of a scene of mad max, the sign posts were confusing, 2 hours after arriving next to the circuit we eventually managed to collect our tickets. This needs to be much better explained!

Do not pick up tickets!

Our weekend was off to a poor start when trying to collect tickets. The collection point was poorly described and turned out to be 2km from the track. After our campsite driver dropped us off and we collected dour tickets, there was then a wait of 40mins for one small 8 seater shuttle bus that was taking people to the circuit. To avoid waiting any longer we then decided to take a 40min walk along a dual carriageway to the circuit to avoid missing any more time. This resulted in missing the first 2 sessions on track! I do not think this is the fault of bookmoto, rather the circuit organisers.

Great Service

My daughter and I had a great time at the French Moto GP and getting the tickets via Bookmoto.com was made simple and they gave grate communication. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

Fantastic circuit

Le Mans is a great race track. It has many tunnel and bridge crossings unlike other tracks I've been to. The campground experience is noisy with bikes revving all night. Good fun at first but you'll get no sleep. Make sure you research where to pick up your tickets, and where you'll enter circuit/ park as it's one way in parts. One of the best MotoGP races I've seen.
