Construction work has commenced on the Hanoi Motor Sport Circuit, which will be the home of the 2020 Vietnam Grand Prix - the country's first ever F1 race!
Hanoi will be the fourth street circuit on the F1 Calendar for 2020, alongside Monaco, Singapore and Azerbaijan, and it is primed to become one of the most challenging circuits in F1. Borrowing features from the likes of the Nurburgring and Suzuka Circuit the track is set to run 5.57km and include 22 skill testing corners. The circuit's designers - Tilke - have brought us tracks like the Circuit of The Americas and Abi Dhabi's Yas Marina, both now iconic in the world of Formula One. Hanoi will also feature one of the longest straights we've seen in the sport, at 1.5km long we predict the cars will accelerate up to speeds of around 335km/h.
It's safe to say we are all waiting on the edge of our seats in anticipation to see what the circuit has in store for F1...
