Amazing GP

Amazing city, super track only downside is the transport from the tack back to the city, expect to wait a minimum of 3 to 4 hours (standing in line). But to be honest I’d do it all again. Great race, great city, get tickets (silver 3) and the team at bookf1.com were great from star to finish and quick to respond to any email questions I had.

Great Experience

from beginning to end Book F1 looked after us well , answering emails straight away and any changes we made not a problem , Hungaroring was a great track to visit , if anything could have a few more taxi stations for exit so everyone isnt in one enormous que , but the track and its hospitality options were all great , would come again to this track

My First Grand Prix Weekend

This was my first experience of a Grand Prix having wanted to go for a number of years, I purchased Sunday only Silver 3 grand stand tickets as it appeared from the map that this would give views of the last few corners and the first part of the start / finish straight. Excited to get to our seats we wandered along finding the silver 3 stand quite quickly, however we quickly realised that the stand was much longer than it appeared on the maps, and the sector we were located was wrapped well around the track, positioning us three quarters of the way round the last turn, meaning we didn’t get the view we he expected and had a long treck round in a loop to access our part of the stand (FYI we were in silver 3 Sector A). Having reviewed the map further, it certainly appeared that all the grandstands had been shuffled along slightly giving us in Silver 3 Sector A a better view of the start / finish straight, but overall a poorer view of the cars into multiple corners. Whilst the seats were undoubtably good seats, they just didn’t live up to my expectations. My advice to anyone purchasing tickets would be not to purchase a ticket on the basis of being on a specific corner, as you may be disappointed come race weekend when you are not seated in the expected spot. I’m probably wrong but as the race was a sellout, they possibly squeezed more stands in? Other than the unexpected location of the seats, the weekend was great. I would suggest finding your seats upon arrival, especially if you are Sunday only. We found finding our seats quite frustrating, as they were located at a point which we were not permitted to enter as it was an “exit only”. Therefore we had to walk around in a large loop in order to get to our seats. We were literally within 20 metres of our stand, but had to walk for 20 mins or more to get there! We had allowed plenty time to get to our seats so it was fine, but just something to bear in mind. Just because you are near the stand, it doesn’t mean it is immediately accessible.

Great atmosphere but bad organized

There was an great atmosphere at the race, many different nationalities and a lot of fun. However the bus transfers to the city and the Kerepes train station failed hard. also on Sunday they decided to make one way "streets" on the circuit that you had to walk 40 minutes around to get to your seat instead of 10 on Saturday. Unfriendly security who did not speak Enlish.

Silver corner 3

The seats were amazing- great view of the straight and the final corner, as well as entry to the pit lane. The pit walk was amazing as it allowed us to see behind the scenes including the garages and cars. The event was run fairly smoothly the only suggestion would be more buses to and from the circuit as we queued for 3 hours to leave after the race.

Amazing track and fan village , transport to and from Hungaroring is poor

Booking through bookF1 was great ! awesome communication pre race weekend. Hungary is a beautiful place with friendly people. The track was spectacular, beautiful weather , lots to see and do in the fan village. But it was seriously let down by 1. Poor transport options not enough free buses to cater for the event. The event was covered by a taxi service but we queued for ours on Saturday and Sunday post race. And landed up being a pretty costly weekend getting to and from the track.

First Formula 1 GP for Grandson

We had a fabulous time the seats were in a great positionespcially for our 8 year old grandson who was seeing his first grand prix. The information provided with the tickets was great and I would not hesitate in booking with you again.

go somewhere else!

Very disappointing, 31 year old track and facilities that need updating. Very difficult to move around behind the old stands, walkways were a bottleneck that grinded to a halt on regular intervals. Worse of all, the road system and taxi system to get back after the race. We waiting for 2 hours in the taxi queue (that's longer than the race itself!), an hour and a half after the race had finished. The queue was as long as we joined it went we got to our taxi. Not worth it, go else where.

Hungaroring 2017

Absolutely great weekend, weather over 35 degrees and great facilities. We went to Canada last year where the facilities were extremely poor to say the least

Great setting, great atmosphere, great weekend.

As always we booked through Book F1 and had exactly the seats we asked for yet again. We took the free bus from the bus station by Arpid bridge to the circuit each morning. The service is great, we never waited more than two minutes for one and had seats for five trips out of six. The journey is about 30 minutes with a 30 minute walk to the track..the second half of which is uphill. If you are in Silver 1,2 or 3 ignore the signs and enter at gate 8 and walk through the fan zone to the stands, this cuts out a further climb uphill. The facilities are very good, set prices for food and drinks, in general costing less than Monza or Spa. There are drinking water taps at various locations ( around permanent buildings). Most stands are uncovered and with temperatures reaching the high thirties a hat and /or a wet towel are essential, along with plenty of water. The circuit is one of the best for spectator viewing. We were in Silver 3 on turn 14 and could see turn 11, down the straight, turn 14 , the pit lane and the start/finish straight. In addition we had a giant TV screen in front of us. Some other stands also had great views but we were more than happy with ours and would sit there again. As everywhere, at times there were queues for the loos and a few more wouldn't go amiss. We had a great weekend in a lively setting and would recommend this venue to anyone. Our only downside was our accommodation in the city. We paid £120 a night for a quality apartment with Budapest Peace and even had to share one glass, one plate and one teaspoon between three of us and buy hand towels etc which took the gloss off the stay a bit.

Absolutely amazing

We had an excellent experience throughout our whole time in Budapest. The race day was very well organised the only down thing was waiting for a taxi afterwards but no different top attending any other large event! Would not hesitate to recommend and can't wait to return!

Good but needs some tweaks

Both myself and my father thoroughly enjoyed the whole race weekend from Friday and Sunday.l thanks to the reasonably priced tickets for the silver 3 grandstand which were available at a reasonable price compared to other circuits I have visited. What I would recommend is more detail is given in regards to the Thursday pit walk in that the walk from the suburban railway or HEV is not advisable from any with knee trouble due to the extremely steep gradient and length of walk to the circuit as well as the fact that unless you arrive very early to be first in the que to enter the pit walk you will not be able to see much as overcrowding can be a very severe issue that the organisers at the Hungaroring were ill equipped to handle. Another problem we encountered which diminished the Saturday and Sunday at the race circuit is again more due to poor organisation as out stand only had one exit which led to small but main thorough fair for all spectators trying to reach the top end of the track and main grandstand. On this area there was also located a food, beer stall and several toilets. After each event and especially after any F1 running this became congested to the point where spectators were unable to move in or out of the stands posing a very serious risk in the event of an accident or emergency and left spectators unable to get to shade in over 30 degree heat for upto an hour at a time. I would recommend the Hungarian Grand Prix to anyone and will be returning to the race at my next opportunity but will book seats in a different stand.

Hot long toilet queue

The race itself was good if not a typical Hungarian gp. The circuit on the other hand needs to learn a few things from the other circuits. The food prices this yeareview were simply stupidly high. In 5 years of going have we ever had to pay as much for food as we did this year. The toilet facilities, well we're almost 3rd world, if you didn't pass out in the queue to start with.

Good GP

Ticket ordering process and delivery (too expensive) very good. Had seats I asked for in area requested (Silver 3). Good views over fence (row 26 up from bottom good to clear fence). Surprisingly our whole grandstand was only a quarter full - sure Berni would have noticed that, but maybe he should review ticket pricing as a whole! Took taxis out from Budapest - approx 8000-9000 Hufs, about 32 euros each way. Going out both days was good and going home on Sat worked well, but getting home on the Sunday with the official taxi was a complete nightmare & farce queuing for 1 hour in swealtering conditions - their queue system or lack of was pathetic. Organisation getting to track - roads, police, etc extremely good. Track facilities, loos, bars, food was very good and actually priced very well compared to other circuits like Barcelona which is a rip off. Views of track and screen very good from Silver 3.

Excellent race experience, track location a bit tricky!

The Silver 3 grandstand was a really superb viewing spot. Because of the position on the hill, you can see the the start/finish line and the pit straight, cars coming down the straight between turns 11-12, then the long slow final turn, and of course down the pit lane. There are two huge screens directly opposite the stands as well. A*** for value for money seating. Note there is no shade here so definitely take a hat/sunscreen! Facilities at the track - there are plenty of food and drink stands so we hardly had to queue at all, even on Sunday. The prices are reasonable and they accept Euros or HUF, but the value is better if you pay in HUF due to some ... "creative" exchange rates and change. The toilet facilities were pretty dire for women, apparently not so bad for men. Take your own paper - they seemed to run out quite often! Getting to the track took us around 90 minutes on average from the centre of Budapest. You can get a cheap travelcard, then it's just a 10-minute Metro journey then 30 minutes on the suburban railway. The train only runs every 30 minutes. The "difficult" bit is when you get to the final train stop nearest the circuit (Szilasliget) - from here it is a *30-40 minute hike uphill on a dirt track* + across a field to get to the circuit. The less fit amongst us certainly struggled with this (there and back!) in the 30C heat. There are taxis at the bottom of the hill to take you to the circuit but we didn't try these. Overall a really great weekend. For future the only things I would change would be to wear hiking boots, and bring loo roll and more HUFs rather than Euros.
