What can I see?
Located at the end of the second DRS zone, South Grandstand offers a view of a key part of the circuit. Within one second of another car can activate the DRS, making the car aerodynamically faster than its rival - so you can expect to see the results of overtaking and lapping as they enter the sharp, complex turns in front of the grandstand. Take in the action, and enjoy one of the most incredible panoramic views in motorsports.
What do I get with my ticket?
You will have a reserved seat in the South grandstand, as well as access to the Oasis areas, where you can purchase food and beverages, as well as available merchandise. Your ticket will also include general admission access to the after-race concerts for every day that it is valid.
Had such a fantastic time at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend. The race tickets and passes arrive well in advance. My only issue was that I wasn’t able to elect what section of the stand it wanted to sit in and this year we couldn’t see the TV screen. Over all a great experience at our 7th Abu Dhabi race and 2nd time using your booking facilities.
hi it was all pretty good my main suggestion relates to the fact I had asked for an upper south stand ticket but actually the seat was at a lower level. this is a nice view and you would think its fine if you hadn't been at the upper level which I have and its not as good. this is one of those big little things so worth a bit of attention the best place (I think on the whole circuit) is (as you look at the south stand) about 30 places from the left upper level I know you are in their hands but maybe press them for a more specific allocated seat (I am sure you know in Barcelona you can go on and actually pick your seat) hope this helps
Excellent service once again from Bookf1. Shame about the title but race weekend was superb.
The race itself was not the most exciting one I have attended, but the weather and the atmosphere were great. I would recommend this race to the non-hardcore F1 fan.
I used a public bus to get to the circuit from Abu Dhabi, I had to stand in the bus as it was busy but it was ok. Once at the circuit there was plenty of people to hand to ask for directions, I had to get another circuit bus to get to the south stand but I had no problems even though I was traveling on my own. No long queue's for the toilets and no massive queue's for food as it was well organised.
We had a two day pass every thing was clearly signed, staff were really helpful, good clean facilities and well organised .
The circuit an staff were very well organised and nothing was too much trouble. Trying to get transport after the race was very hard work, as the main transportation were taxis, and it was a free for all, not organised at all! The view from our stand was very good, and probably the best place for overtaking. We were in the upper south stand. I would happily sit there again! The after race fireworks were spectacular.
The AD F1 is a very well organized event in a fantastic location. The end of the race as it begins to get dark and the lights come up was spectacular.
È beghina Good your sedvjce
Very good day. Good seats. Well organised. Thank you!
facilities are second to none. All run really smooth
great views great place, if you like F1 you must see it here
WOW this was the greatest weekend ever!!! The seats, the parking place, beer, food and information from the circut cannot be better.
Our 1st F1 and we will be going back ASAP. There was just nothing to find fault with. Perfect seats. Loads of helpful staff and superb racing. We even got gold circle tickets for Kylie and Nickleback.
It seems really strange that the first time, that anybody is informed that cameras are not allowed at the after race concerts, is when they arrive at the concert entrance gates. The majority of people that attend the race, obviously have cameras. The queues to deposit cameras were horrendous on the Friday - 200/300 people in a queue. This spoilt our experience, because we did not want to spend a couple of hours waiting for our camera and then spend a similar time waiting for a taxi, at the end of the concerts and consequently left all the concerts early. Overall, the race weekend was superb.
Brilliant F1 and weekend
Wow. My husband, who is not easily impressed, was blown away by Yas. Yes, it does have some issues that need addressing - the queues for food were terrible - the snack bar below our grandstand ran out of hot food on Saturday, and unless you stay in your grandstand, there are very limited areas to sit in the shade outside, but they are the only 2 negatives. The shuttle buses from Abu Dhabi are regular - every 15 minutes it seemed although on Thursday there were no taxis waiting when we came back, so we had to walk a few blocks from the drop off at Zayed Sports City before grabbing a cab. On Friday however, having stopped for the Britney concert (yes she was as bad as the reviews said) we left early and on arrival back at the drop off point there were circa 30 taxis waiting - bit of a free for all to get one, as 3 buses came in at the same time (there are buses which leave from each of the grandstands) but we managed to get one. Yes they do start with a flat rate of 20 AED however, to put things into context our taxi fare back to our hotel worked out at about £8 which had we made the same journey in the UK would have cost us about £20. On Sunday we stayed for the concert - Paul McCartney was brilliant (this from someone who didn't want to go, but as my husband did went under duress.) We left about 11.00 pm and flagged a taxi down straight away which was also very reasonable to get us back to our hotel, although I think our taxi driver was a frustrated F1 driver - the warning that all the taxis have when they are exceeding the speed limit kept triggering in his car! I would guess that these would be difficult to get hold of immediately after the track action, but if you are prepared to wait easy enough to flag an empty taxi down. The pit lane walk on Thursday was fantastic, saw DC interviewing Perez, Jake Humphries strolling down the pit lane - said hello to him - MC on his scooter going past, all the crews practicising their pit stop changes. The excitement was palpable and then as people were coming out of the pit lane walk, the number that were lying on the grid to have their photo's taken was surreal. We went to Ferrari World on Sunday before the race - very good experience, although there are a lot of rides, which aren't really our thing, but there are things to see that do not involve going on a ride. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, although I think a lot of people were probably lying by their hotel pools before heading to the circuit later on. The race was fantastic, we saw quite a lot of action from our seats with JB and MW banging wheels on the bends by us, and the squabble coming down the straights and into the corner with the Saubers etc made for an excellent race, and of course the fact that Lewis won! The grandstand erupted when Vettel went off - whilst you have to give him credit for his wins this year, I think the fans wanted to see a proper race, and that is what we got. An amazing atmosphere, especially as the sun starts to set and the circuit changes with the lights etc - and what a sunset! My husband has already said we are going next year - must admit, 27 degrees in November and an amazing circuit make for a heady mix.
The organisation and facilities in AD were excellent. We drove to the circuit and following the signs was easy. On arrival (and return) there were lots of buses and the whole weekend went suprisingly well. Our seats were in view of five corners and the Marina, Perfect. The only downside was the queues at the Oasis bar tents and at the food counters. Otherwise Great.
This was the first Grand Prix my husband or I have been to, booked as it fell in the middle of both our birthdays. We both had a fabulous time. Seats were great, with all of the stands having a big screen opposite so you could see the other bits of the track. Pop concerts were enjoyable and made it a full two day experience, and the weather was perfect, especially the warm evening temperature. The Novotel hotel we booked was well located, with taxis easy (and cheap) to hail to get to the stadium. I'm not sure 'Ferrari world' was worth the entrance fee, unless you are a real Ferrari geek. But it is rare to enjoy a weekend like this where everything works so well.
